Click here to see Steve Beunis' workSteve Beunis Born in Brabant, The Netherlands, Steve came to the USA in 1956. He is a graduate of KTA, a prestigious school of design and architecture, and holds a degree in ornamental wrought iron and sculpture. Mr. Beunis studied for three years at M.T.S. art department. For two years he worked with his uncle, William Beunis, who was an architect. And in Holland, he worked with well known Dutch sculptor, Jan Koldeweyn, restoring and preserving some of Holland’s most historical castles and churches. As a teenager, Steve was part of the Dutch Resistance during World War II. For years Steve owned and operated The Blacksmith Shop, a workshop and gallery, in Kill Devil Hills, NC. His work has been exhibited in art shows and galleries across the USA and Europe where he has been the recipient of numerous prizes and awards in his field. Steve now resides in Virginia. He has three children. His work can be seen at Seaside Art Gallery in Nags Head, NC. |
