Travis was born in Idaho, grew up in Arizona and currently resides in Cedar City, Utah.  He is married to Kathryn and they have 6 children. 

Travis graduated from BYU in 1993 with a BFA in illustration.  He has won many awards since high school, including full tuition scholarships, talent awards and placing in well known regional shows and auctions such as the George Phippen Memorial in Prescott, AZ. And the C.M. Russell in Great Falls, MT. 

Travis is a versatile artist painting in most common mediums in miniature to monumental formats. He has been involved in prominent Western galleries since 1988 painting mainly landscapes.   He also is a master frame maker and owns Gold River Gallery Frames in Cedar City.  “ I enjoy the process of painting  and the struggle to communicate an idea or feeling”.  “The greatest award is when someone enjoys my efforts enough to want it to be part of their life”.
