The bloodhound breed is famous for having one of the best sense of smell in the animal kingdom. They have been used in hunting deer and boar, and since the Middle Ages they have been used to track people. These talented working dogs are descended from an abbey in medieval Belgium.
I just love their droopy ears and eyes. They always have an irresistible pleading look and they are so affectionate. Who can resist? They melt your heart.
