Our Historical Heritage Portfolio

Salvador Dali

Complete large folio portfolio, with eleven dry point engravings with variations of colors by pochoir (distinguished from ordinary stenciling, is a highly refined technique of making fine limited editions of stencil prints. It is often called hand coloring, or hand illustration). Each piece is signed in pencil by Dali and numbered #205/400, produced for South America. Printed on Arches paper measuring 26” x 20” with full margins, the paper bears the blindstamp/watermark "Arches France", directly below the edition number. Our Historical Heritage are Salvador Dali’s interpretation of some of the more important historical figures and events from the Torah or Old Testament. This is the complete suite with case, medal, title and justification pages, and all of the artwork. These pieces have never been framed, condition is very good with only minor spots of foxing on the title page. *Please note: This suite is being offered as a complete set, it will not be sold individually. New York & Paris: Published by Leon Amiel, 1975.
