  I’m fascinated by the light and shadows on the dunes.  At the beaches near Oregon Inlet the dunes are small and choppy…this creates beautiful patterns of cool shadows and warm light.  On this particular afternoon I was struck by how the sun lit up the pathway to the life-saving station….like the building was on a stage and all the dunes were looking at it.
