Christopher Moody is an original oil painting by Brenda Morgan.  The art measures 7″ x 5"  with the frame measuring 10 3/4" x 8 3/4", frame included.

An English pirate, Christopher Moody, operated off the Carolina coast between 1713 and 1718.
With the signing of the Peace of Utrecht in 1713, without letters of marque, privateers turned to piracy.
The “golden age” of piracy lasted just 5 years and only affected the Carolina coast for 1 very memorable year.
Moody’s flag wasn’t the traditional black but was a reddish orange with a winged hourglass, skull and crossbones and a sword wielding arm.
