Pumpkin spice is in the air as we venture deeper into fall! Along with the beauty of the season, we can’t help but notice these home decor trends gaining traction. Let’s take a look at some art pieces at Seaside Art Gallery that feature our favorite trends, and will help you nail the look.
Natural earthen tones are back, just in time to enjoy for autumn. There’s a reason why earthy tones work so well in the first place. They are pleasing to the eye, provide little distraction, and help to make your guests comfortable in their visit. Fall foliage is a classic look to complement a variety of styles already present in the home. Try pairing it with warm gold colors like the handsome frame that comes with this painting!
Few things rival the comforts of autumn at home like a warm blanket throw or knit sweater. This lovely mixed media collage throws a seaside twist in the mix with textures that remind us of fall in the Outer Banks! It also happens to be miniature art, making it a cute addition to any office desk or home foyer. Now all that’s missing is a beach bonfire!
Sometimes a interior space needs something more than a splash of color, it needs depth too. That’s where layers come in! In art, there are a variety of techniques that employ the illusion of layers and create a third dimension to the naked eye. This pelican’s graceful dive into the “layers” of water help to create visual interest in any room.
Even with the prelude of colder weather, our yearnings for the outdoors will continue. Fortunately, there are plenty of landscape pieces that help to quench the outdoor craving while inside! This one in particular features the historical Island Farm on Roanoke Island. It has many of the fine qualities of a garden without the dirt, and there’s no need to water it!
Open interior plans are beginning to give way to smaller cozy spaces as we hunker inside for a long winter’s nap. Everyone young and old will appreciate artwork that reminds us of intimate moments, such as this piece here. The teddy bear is an endearing touch, while the soft earthen tones are fitting enough for older audiences to enjoy.
