Do you ever marvel at the fact that Northern Cardinals are not migratory birds, but remain in their territories year round? Unlike other birds who literally get to see the world of possibilities, redbirds never see more than 0.08 square miles on average. That's just 16 city blocks. Lucky are the ones whose territory includes a bit of geographical diversity, don't you think?
