David Hunter lives in Florida. He participates in art shows and competitions in the United States. He's created over 800 etchings, each with 100 limited editions, for a total of over 80,000 original works of art. His award-winning artwork is in galleries across America and in the permanent collection of the London Maritime Museum in England. His art has even appeared on the cover of The Old Farmer’s Almanac.
Hunter earned his M.A. in Zoology (1972) at the University of South Florida, illustrating his master’s thesis with pen-and-ink drawings. He was a research associate in the Biology Department, University of Central Florida. He taught 7th and 8th grade Life and Physical Sciences. He teaches painting workshops at art centers, and printmaking at Crealde School of Art in Florida. Miniature Artists of America, Member.
