I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and caring for several siamese cats and this painting is a compilation of their memories. Our cats loved to chase the light from a laser pointer. That would keep them occupied for hours. And when there was no human around to shine a light, they loved to watch our beta swim. We had a closed tank that they couldn’t get into, but I know they tried. A ball on a scratching post was more of a nuisance to them than a favorite toy. They’d walk by and swat at it as if to teach it a lesson several times a day. You might say it was more my toy than theirs, because I think I had more fun watching the attitude.
