Vase With Fruit is an original acrylic painting by Debra Keirce. The painting measures 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ with the frame measuring 7″ x 7″, frame included.
I created this piece during a painting demonstration. It’s always so much fun to paint alla prima, or in one sitting with confident and direct brush strokes. I usually paint on a piece for days in my studio, letting the layers dry between sessions. But once in awhile it’s fun to stay loose and fresh. I bought that vase at a thrift shop in Tokyo, Japan and it was fun to talk about that trip to onlookers while I painted this.
