Keirce-An Elegant Journey

This work of art is featured in the 33rd International Miniature Art Show. This beautiful piece of art can now be purchased. However, since this show is a competition, it can not be shipped or picked up until June 1st, 2024, the end of the show.

The show itself is a highly acclaimed event that hosts hundreds of small-scale masterpieces from around the globe. It brings together some of the finest artists in miniature artwork and provides an opportunity for them to showcase their creativity in a unique way.

This scene has been bouncing around in my mind for years. I recently saw my reference images and knew I had to paint it. This is a staircase I saw in my travels, and the medieval background, the perfectly framed planter of live flowers thriving in the embrace of the curved staircase bring so many stories to mind. The past is the background. It's behind us. The present moment is the living planter, roped off from seeing the future that exists at the top of those elegant stairs. 

 How much of our life journey is spent climbing those stairs, barely noticing the glow of all we've left behind, or the present moment that is flourishing right in front of us. In the end, we all decide where to set our attentions. There is no right or wrong. It's all the most elegant of journeys.
