Artist note: “Clyde’s seafood market has been just across the bridge from Swansboro, NC, and he has some of the prettiest shrimp boats in his fleet. All the rigging is painted a bright red, and the boats are a gleaming white. The building is colored a salmony pink. I wanted to make some miniature paintings of the crab on the left side, and the shrimp on the right side of his market, as they always grabbed my attention when driving by.”
