Songs have a way of settling into our psyche. Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and the Shondells is like that for me. I was turning 7 years old when it became a hit song. The tune and lyrics play in the background of many of my 2nd grade recollections. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts sang it when I was a young adult, so maybe that solidified it.
I'm pretty sure I will be able to hum these lyrics till I leave the planet:

The funny thing is, they are just pretty to me. They don't tell a shocking or informative story. They don't encourage deep world changing conversation. They just are. Sometimes the most memorable things are the most beautiful and most ordinary.
