Why is it so calming to watch fish in a tank?
I have a theory. I think there is comfort in the metaphorical. If we think of humans (the fish) in the atmosphere of a planet (the tank) it is an easy jump to what are they doing this morning? Well, of course they must be having a chat around the log (the coffee machine) about everything that's going on in their community.
