Under the Sun is an original oil painting by Debra Keirce. The art measures 12″ x 12″ with the frame measuring 13 1/2″ x 13 1/2″, frame included.
Sunflowers are my favorite flower. If you get sick I will send you sunflowers. If you die, you will have sunflowers from me at your memorial. If there is any occasion when I want to put a smile on your face, you are getting sunflowers. They are so expressive. They turn downward facing quickly if you don't meet all their needs, so they feel a little moody to me in a humorous way. Also, they are such a useful flower. Bees love them. I love to eat their seeds. They grow tall and beautiful in some pretty weedy patches.
These are all things I think we humans try to do. At least I do. I try to put a smile on your face with every painting. I strive to be expressive, humorous, and useful. All the while I try to stand tall when life gets lifey, and I'm not so sure about beautiful, but my mission is to at least age gracefully.
Let's all soak up the rays and flourish under the sun!
