My People is an original oil painting on board by Debra Keirce. The original oil painting on board measures 7″ x 9″ with the frame measuring 12 1/2″ x 14 1/2″.
Labradors were bred as hunting dogs, but I don’t know many who are put to work in that capacity. The labs I know love to play fetch on the beach, chew on a favorite toy, and stick close to their people. Several are studio dogs, meaning they sleep at the feet of my artist friends while they paint. All are treat motivated, meaning if you want them to do your bidding you will need to offer up a Milk-bone or something similar. When you look into their eyes, you just know there is an intelligent, loving, playful sentient being in there looking back at you.
