This is a painting which I started 10 years ago, and it was done in sepia tones. I was never quite happy with it, so it sat in a pile of unfinished paintings and got forgotten. I unframed it and put the slightest bit of color on top of the sepia and I like it better now. It has a nostalgic feel, and like the rest of the paintings during this time, I pictured it hanging in an old beach cottage. I think it captures that wistful and slightly lonely feeling I feel when wandering around the dunes of Coquina.
