Beachball by Michelle Gilsey, Acrylic Painting
Who’s a cute little puppy of the sea? You are! This baby seal is bound to go to a forever home to someone out there. Fluffy and round and full of life, it even has a name. Beachball! We love how it stares longingly into the viewer’s eyes front and center with a great perspective. Who will take Beachball home?
Connoisseurs of Comfort by Debby Faulkner-Stevens, Gouache on Vellum
This heartfelt miniature art is a tribute to the coziness of the cat. Inspired by the quote from vet surgeon and author James Herriot, it mimics the soft textures of rich fabric. delicate, warm, and oh so purrfect, the cat is the human’s ultimate snuggle pet… when they feel like it, of course! It’s a good thing this kitty has decided to be good with its friendly golden eyes.
Backyard Sprite by Sue deLearie Adair, Graphite Drawing
Oh no! You guessed it, it’s another adorable animal. This time it’s a fluffy little bird expertly drawn in graphite pencil. The monochromatic tone emphasizes its textures against the rugged tree bark. It looks so endearing with its cute beady eyes, it makes you want to reach out and pet its soft feathers to no end.
Drifting by Bonnie Latham, Watercolor Painting
We’ve seen a lot of pelicans around these parts, but this one is a professional cutie pie. Just look at the gleam in its eye and its soft yellow tuft of feathers. It remarkably seems to smile back to the viewer in its realistic setting. Speaking of realistic, just look at the exquisite ripples of water in this painting! The serene fluid surface makes the pelican’s cheeky grin all the more believable.
Startled Visitor by Lauri Waterfield Callison, Oil Painting
This little guy might not have Jimothy fame yet, but his all - American cuteness certainly takes the cake. His masked face surrounding his round innocent eyes have the power to make anyone’s heart melt, and the piece is a great icebreaker for company in that special spot in the house.
