Catherine Girard is an American painter, and has lived in diverse areas coast-to-coast in the United States. She’s primarily self-taught and known for detailed, full-sized realistic paintings and miniatures in oils and acrylics. Subjects such as landscapes, wildlife, florals and portraiture are executed in paintings of distinctive artistry.
Her awards include: Arts for the Parks Mini 50 Paintings Award for Excellence, National Park Academy of the Arts (Jackson, Wyoming), and Paint America. Her art is held in private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad. She’s available for commissioned work. “Painting is a journey of discovery,” says Girard, “capturing the magnificent beauty of God’s handiwork. My work arises from appreciation of the world that surrounds me: fields, forest, mountains and streams.”
