About The Artist

Artist Clifford BaileyClifford T. Bailey, born 1952. Bailey was born in Youngstown, Ohio and exhibited his work professionally at age nineteen. Since then, he’s won many First Place and Best of Show awards in national exhibitions and shows. His works are in private and corporate collections including Con Agra, Swift, Burlington Railroad and Beatrice.

Bailey and his wife Cheryl live on a farm near Greeley, Colorado. His studio overlooks grazing pastures along the Platte River, with a distant view of Long’s Peak. This view is an unending source of inspiration for his paintings. He uses light and atmosphere to invoke emotion. He paints small still life, too, reminiscent of the Old Masters in technique, contrasting dark and light tones, and subject matter. “It’s far more important to me to paint from the heart. If the viewer is also sensitive they will respond to the emotion you put into it,” says Bailey.
