Debra Keirce lives in Virginia. Her award-winning paintings include urban landscapes and still life miniatures with a Trompe L’Oeil and photorealism influence. She uses a magnifying lens to capture the smallest detail in the tightest of renderings. Keirce explains, “I want people to stop, draw closer, smile, and then think about the narrative” with her art.
She won accolades for her art in high school, but initially pursued a career in biochemical engineering. She still found time to build a business painting art commissions, then transitioned to painting full-time. Her art is held in private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. She’s a member of several art societies including Arts Organizations Art Renewal Center, Oil Painters of America, Miniature Painters Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington D.C. Miniature Art Society of Florida, The Hilliard Society World Federation of Miniaturists.
