Frans Beckers, 1898-1983. A Dutch landscape painter, Beckers was born in Amsterdam. He studied and researched extensively in some of Europe’s finest museums and art centers including the Amsterdam Academy. The composition and colors of his oil paintings won him the approval of many art critics and collectors worldwide. Beckers ground his own pigments, masterfully creating his own unique paint colors. He painted in the tradition or in the style of J. van Ruisdael, a Dutch Master.
