Lynn Ponto-Peterson, paints in watercolors and oils. She paints still life, figural and wildlife. She explores both lighting and color in her work, bringing emotion and life to her paintings. “My goals for my work are quite simply to improve my craft with each new work and hope that others appreciate what I create," she says.
She’s inspired by artists John William Waterhouse, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Frank Cadogan Cowper, and by contemporary realists Carl Brenders, Robert Bateman, John Paul Strain and Daniel Tennant. Ponto-Peterson obtained a BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University. She worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, and then full-time artist. Her award-winning art is held in private collections internationally.
