Pamela Brown Brookman resides in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with her husband and two children. She’s a self-taught, professional artist since the early 1970’s. She worked with her identical twin sister, Patricia Brown Shelton, under the pen name “The Brown Twins.” Brookman was inspired by famous fantasy artists such as twins Greg and Tim Hildebrant, Frank Frazetta, and Boris. Early in her lucrative career, she air-brushed paintings on vans, show cars and motorcycle tanks. In the meantime, she worked in oils and acrylics doing everything from realism to fine art portraiture.
‘Fantasy Art’ is Brookman’s preferred art genre. Her favorite subjects are derived from mythology, religion and childhood inspirations. Her art includes residential and commercial murals, trompe ’oeils, custom art designs/illustrations, and contemporary fantasy art. She also teaches art. Brookman’s paintings are in private collections including celebrities, John Mellancamp and Sissy Spacek.
