Royal Doulton FigurineThe Royal Doulton Company, was established 1815. An English company producing tableware and collectables including: dinnerware, giftware, cookware, porcelain, glassware, collectables, jewelry, linens, curtains and lighting. Its three brands, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert and Mintons are now owned by WWRD Holdings Ltd (Waterford Crystal, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton.)


The company began as a partnership between John Doulton, Martha Jones, and John Watts. It specialized in stoneware, decorative bottles and salt glaze sewer pipes. The company was named Doulton in 1853. Doulton’s son John opened a studio and offered work to designers and artists from the nearby Lambeth School of Art. Artists include George Tinworth, the Barlow family, Frank Butler, Mark Marshall and Eliza Simmance.
