Making time to unplug your life and get away to the shoreline is more than just fun. Studies show that setting aside quality you-time by the water is important to both your physical and mental wellbeing. Of course, you’re obviously not unplugged if you’re reading this right now on your screen. But no worries, we won’t judge. In fact, you can take advantage of being here and see all the gorgeous new coastal art that arrived at Seaside Art Gallery hot off the canvas. It’s the next best thing!

You know your rest and relaxation is way overdue when even the art is calling you out. This dowitcher seems to get it. The waterbird enjoys its moment of peace as it wades through the still waters. Soothing round shapes and soft washed out colors make viewing this painting a self care experience in itself.
This artist not only creates amazing bronze sculptures, she paints, too! The horse’s accurate three-dimensional form is easy to make out as it gazes out over the shimmering waters from its perch atop a sand dune. Wispy clouds further highlight the horse’s mane flowing in the wind.
Oh no, who took my fishing bait? Hmm, maybe this dashing brown pelican looking innocent on the dock is the culprit. Well, okay, he can have it. After all, who can stay mad at a handsome feathered face like that, anyway? Looks like this bait thief is getting off the fish hook.
The textured acrylic paint creates an exciting pop of color in this fun and energizing interpretation of a sunrise over the ocean. Waves churn, chop and overlap in all sorts of different directions, giving off the wild feel of an Outer Banks Atlantic Ocean.
If you’re looking for something different to add to your coastal collection, this monochromatic artwork is a delightful change of pace. Here we see a Black Backed Gull looking over the viewer with a watchful eye. Is it protecting something, or is it going to fly away? For all we know, it’s probably just interested in a free lunch.
Nothing beats a good coastal painting quite like a classic sunrise over calm waters. Colorful, hopeful and filled with light, the viewer is encouraged to step into a new day as the vibrant sun spreads its fire across the sky and over the wooden stairway to the beach.
Here’s a quick self care cheat sheet you can do right now. Admire even more beautiful art through Seaside Art Gallery’s web pages! See what’s new in the Gallery’s ever-expansive coastal art collection here. You might even find a gorgeous piece of art as your next discovered beach treasure destined for your forever home.

If you've ever turned over a piece of jewelry and noticed a tiny stamp reading 925, you may have wondered what it means. Is it real silver? Is it valuable? And what's the difference between sterling, coin silver, and pure silver?
