It’s one thing when you admire the beauty of an original painting in front of you. But then it’s another thing altogether when you find a piece that gives you art from just about every angle. Three dimensional art has a special charm of its own, and it usually requires more forethought from the artist too. Let’s appreciate the skill and mastery of three dimensional art.
Have you ever seen a bronze sculpture that takes your breath away? We can’t believe how epic this elk is depicted, like something out of Fantasia. The elk’s large antlers seem to flow with the rest of the piece as if it is a visual tribute to gritty mountain life. From the Rockies to Appalachia, viewers everywhere can appreciate the Americana culture this piece celebrates.
At first blush, you might stop and freeze thinking you don’t want to scare this flock of monarch butterflies away from their flowers. But don’t worry, it’s just art - rather stunning art, that is! Each butterfly was painstakingly hand painted with love and care, giving the viewer a chance to appreciate just how precious and majestic this threatened species is.

Jim Carpenter is at it again with his imaginative golf club carvings, and this time he has whipped up a handsome wood duck. This dashing fellow never has a bad angle. From a fireplace mantle to an executive desk, its striking colorful face can be seen front and center.
This beautiful 3D Italian style sculpture pays tribute to every fisherman’s dream of catching the “big one.” From spring to fall, anglers near and far flock to the Outer Banks waters in hopes of landing a good sized Marlin. These formidable fish are definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you can ever catch one, you’ll probably snag a good fish tale to go with it!
Last but certainly not least, we’ll end the tour with a vibrant vase that is as ruby red as Dorothy’s slippers. A deep teal stripe adds an element of surprise around the piece. We love how it can be functional since you can fill it up with decorative sand, beads, or flowers of your choice to complement it further.
Does a particular art piece especially jump out at you and seem to call your name? Come to Seaside Art Gallery and bring it home. We’d love to see you! Ask the Gallery about shipping options if you are far away. There are Shop Pay and layaway options, too. Whether near or far, you can appreciate the majesty of art from just about any perspective.

If you've ever turned over a piece of jewelry and noticed a tiny stamp reading 925, you may have wondered what it means. Is it real silver? Is it valuable? And what's the difference between sterling, coin silver, and pure silver?
